This is day the habit attitude. In order to create a lasting life transforming habit, you have to develop a certain attitude, especially when you start. But the attitude is needed to maintain your commitment throughout the process of developing and forming the habit. I believe there's three core elements of this habit attitude.
Those three core elements are having a vision of future self, creating a link of that vision to your habit. And then third, overcoming the desire for your mind to back out of the habit. So let's discuss these three things. So the vision. So this is really important. Like when you start a new habit, you have to have
a vision of what you are going to become in the future. What's interesting about the mind is the mind will actually, if you repeat the vision long enough in your mind of what you will become, your mind will start treating that vision like a memory. In fact, the brain doesn't really separate imagination from memory of actual events.
It can actually believe they're the same thing. This can be both a negative thing and a positive thing. You might have heard of situations where somebody will convince themselves that they did something when in fact they didn't. If you repeat it long enough, eventually your brain will think you did it.
Same thing can work in a beneficial way too. You can create a vision of yourself and repeat that long enough to where your brain will believe it actually happened. And that is truly powerful because you remove mental objections by doing that. So a vision of yourself is the more detailed it is, the better it is.

If you create a vision of what you will be like in a period of time, I choose 365 days. What am I going to be like in 365 days from now? And I get very specific, like where am I going to be? What am I going to look like? What am I going to be wearing? Who I'll be with?
You know what event I'll be at things like that. I even make it magnificent a grand grandiose even though I know it won't really happen Exactly the way I envision it, but I do create this vision of what I'm going to be like That vision of self becomes the primary factor Which keeps me going even when I feel unmotivated?
Remember motivation is a complete myth. You cannot stay motivated all the time. It just doesn't happen. So you have to create mental Mechanisms like tools to help you overcome the time periods when you're feeling completely unmotivated and a vision of yourself is one of them I Repeat the vision to myself every day. I think it through what am I gonna be like after doing this?
The second is related, but it's it's different. It's this promise you make to yourself This promise can be done through prayer It can be done through meditation or it can be just done by a mantra you create that you repeat to yourself every morning and night But the promise to self is this if I do this habit Then I will become this vision of myself
So think of the habit you want to do preferably a daily habit, although it could be a different time period, but I suggest daily Come up with a daily habit If I keep this if I just do this one daily habit Then I will become this vision of myself and that's something that you just promise yourself and you maintain every day This creates the link between this very powerful outcome

and the habit you are doing. Eventually, you will convince your brain that it is true. And then, then you know you've arrived. I've discovered it takes about 90 days. The third is the hardest. And that is in the first 90 days, your brain will do everything it can to sabotage your habit. It will come up with all sorts of excuses. It'll try to convince you that it's unsafe.
that you're endangering yourself. It'll try to convince you that you're just not capable of doing it. It'll try to convince you that this is a bad idea. It'll try to make you feel embarrassed. It'll do everything it can to make you feel like what you're doing is foolish and stupid. The reason? The brain wants to avoid work.
The brain wants self preservation and wants to keep itself happy and stable. It doesn't want you to do new and crazy things. better is for you to, you have to overcome that first mental back out reflex. If you can overcome that in 90 days, it gets better. Eventually your mind realizes this is the new normal and I can't get out of it.
So if you have this every day is everyday mentality, I'm going to do this no matter what, even if it's 1150 at night, I'm going to get this done. And even if you don't do the habit as good as you normally do, like if you just barely get it done, like you go to the gym and you just do five minutes, that may seem stupid, but at least you did it. So in that night, first 90 days, you need to do it no matter what, even if what you're doing is so silly and stupid.
it only took you a minute or two to do, you're convincing your brain that this is an activity you are not going to back out of. So just to repeat, in order to develop a life transforming habit, you have to have three core aspects of an attitude. First, a vision of yourself in the future. Second, promise to yourself that if you keep the habit, you'll become that vision. And third, the energy to overcome that first 90 days of resistance.
